The D.H. Lawrence Children’s Prize: Writing Competition 2024: 31 August to 8 November
Earlier this year we oversaw the D.H. Lawrence Children’s Prize: Writing Competition, which is open to all children up to the age of 16 in the UK. It returned in 2024 for its second year, this time with the theme of ‘The Seasons’ and we asked children to submit short stories and poems. There were 182 entries this year, with children taking part from all over the country: from Cumbria to Bristol, from London to Scotland, as well as many locally. In this special exhibition we showcase the winners and runners up in three age categories, as well as a special ‘Best of Broxtowe’ category.
The competition was funded by the Arts Council, as part of the Broxtowe Creates Festival.
