About the event Join invertebrate expert Dave Goddard on a Dragonfly and Damselfly ID course at Attenborough Nature Reserve. Attenborough Nature Reserve is teeming with these magnificent creatures during the warmer months. Recorded species include Banded Demoiselle, Emerald and Small Red-eyed Damselfly, Emperor Dragonfly and Brown, Migrant and Southern Hawkers. This course will begin in the conference room at Attenborough Nature Centre for an introductory session on dragonflies and damselflies. The walk will be packed with tips and tricks to help you spot keys signs to tell different species apart. Participants of all abilities are welcome – from complete beginners to those looking to expand their knowledge. The course includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. All our food is made fresh on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our cakes and sweet treats are supplied by two independent, local businesses – Beeston Brownies and Homemade Café. With 48' hours notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs.
