The beloved annual Christmas event is returning to bring festive cheer to Eastwood. Join us for a magical evening to kick off the festive season!

The Christmas market will open at 5:30pm, offering a delightful selection of festive treats and gifts on Victoria Street and Eastwood Square. Indulge in delicious festive food, sweets, and donuts, and explore community stalls. Head to Victoria Street for festive face painting to add some Christmas sparkle.

Santa will make a special stop at his grotto at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum Courtyard from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Children can meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes and enjoy the festive magic. Accessible sensory sessions are available again this year from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, with bookings on a first come, first served basis, reserve your spot early! Book for free now at Eventbrite.

The main festivities will kick off at 6:00pm, from Eastwood Square and along Nottingham Road. Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere with Victorian carol singers, amazing street performances with the return of the magnificent Spark! Drummers and the fun filled fairground rides. Don’t forget to join the nativity trail through the town, lots of shops are participating in this. Join in with carol singing led by the Eastwood & District Churches Together to share the Christmas joy. Enjoy a high energy live music performance on the stage by the fabulous Pesky Alligators from Nottingham.

At 7:00pm the Mayor of Broxtowe and the Eastwood Town Mayor will lead the Christmas Lights Switch On ceremony by the beautifully decorated Christmas tree at Eastwood Square. The evening will conclude with a dazzling finale firework display at 8:00pm, best viewed from Nottingham Road near Eastwood Library.

Please note that Nottingham Road will closed from 6:00pm-9:00pm, Upper part of Victoria Street and the Scargill Walk Car Park will be closed from 4:00pm-9:00pm and the Alexandra Street Car Park will be closed from 6:00am – 11:00pm. All residents affected by closures will receive letters to notify them that their road is affected by the closure.
