Stapleford Christmas Lights Switch On

Description

Christmas celebrations in Broxtowe kick off in Stapleford on Saturday 25 November. This annual spectacular Christmas event will take place along Victoria Street and at the Victoria Street car park.

Building on the success of previous events, this year looks to be another great celebration of all things Christmas. The Christmas market will be running from 12pm at the Victoria Street with an array of tasty treats and festive items to purchase. A range of hot food, sweets and donuts will be on offer. Check out the festive face painting and the community stalls on site.

Santa will also be visiting Stapleford in his magical grotto, from 3pm-5pm at The Stapleford & Bramcote Conservative Club. Children are invited to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes. An accessible sensory session for the Grotto is also available for booking this year from 1:30pm – 3pm. Please click https://shorturl.at/hrK05 for booking online. The main event will start at 4:30pm on Victoria Street car park. Festive street theatre acts, children's fairground rides, a human nativity trail organised by Stapleford Churches Together and the carol singing led by the Salvation Army Band are all things that you don’t want to miss. A series of hit songs from the 90’s to today will also be performed by the 4-piece band, Adam & Co to bring you an incredible end to the evening.

The Christmas light switch on ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Broxtowe and the Town Mayor will be staged at 5.30pm. Don’t miss the spectacular firework display at 6.30pm; the best place to view the display is from Victoria Street Car Park.
