Mayor’s Majazztic Charity Evening Benefits Broxtowe
Over 100 people attended the event but the real stars of the evening were Pulp Friction, who cooked and served the scrumptious Sicilian-themed three course feast. Pulp Friction CIC are a social enterprise who work with people who have learning disabilities and/or Autism to develop their social independence and work-readiness skills.
Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Teresa Cullen said:
“My year in office has been focused on the community, and I wanted to make my charity dinner a reflection of that. Friday was a community event held in our fabulous community hall with the best of our community providing the food and entertainment.”
The evening finished with a charity raffle with prizes from Broxtowe-based businesses GH Hurt, Rassams, Greenfingers and many more.
All proceeds raised on the night go to the Mayor’s chosen charity, the Broxtowe Community Fund – a charitable trust set up to support Broxtowe’s charities and local organisations.
