Forever Stars Father’s Day Keepsake Workshop – places available for fathers who have suffered infant loss
This year, Forever Stars is pioneering monthly keepsake workshops, offering ‘a beautiful opportunity to create a unique and sentimental piece of handmade jewellery inspired by your baby’.
The first keepsake workshops in April and May were well-attended and received. This June, the charity is offering a workshop focused specifically on fathers, in the lead-up to Father’s Day. The workshop takes place on Friday 14 June 7pm - 9.30pm at The Serenity Centre in Beeston. Places can be booked online (Opens in a new window).
Sally Wyles, a parent who attended an earlier workshop said; ‘I attended a Keepsake Workshop at the Serenity Centre and loved the experience. It was great to be with other baby loss families and make something personal associated with my baby. I would highly recommend any baby loss family to attend one of the Forever Stars workshops, they really are supportive, I really hope the Father’s Day workshop is just as good as the one I attended.’
Richard Daniels, Chair of Trustees at Forever Stars said; ‘The funding we have received from Broxtowe Borough Council has given us a great opportunity to expand the workshops we can offer and this particular workshop will help us engage with men who experience baby loss, a group of people who are often overlooked when care and support is offered. We are extremely grateful for this support.’
Broxtowe Borough Council has been able to support Forever Stars with a Community Grant, awarded in March.
