A landlord operating a House in Multiple Occupation ("HMO") in Watnall has been prosecuted by Broxtowe Borough Council.
21/03/25 - Following a complaint from one of the tenants, Broxtowe Borough Council carried out an inspection of the HMO and served upon the landlord legal notices which required him to provide information to the Council regarding the number of people living at the address and to provide copies of the tenancy agreements to the Council.

Man from Burton Joyce fined for allowing construction waste to be burned in Beeston
21/03/25 - A man from Burton Joyce has received fines of over £8,000 after pleading guilty to allowing repeated burning of construction waste at a property he was redeveloping in Beeston.

Rugby club gives local young people a head start in construction with the help of Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund grant of nearly £20,000
12/03/2025 - Broxtowe Borough Council’s grant of £19,875 has allowed Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) to help refurbish Nottingham Casuals Rugby Club in Beeston after the club house suffered flood damage earlier this year. VIY provides training opportunities to young people who are not in employment, education or training, and this project has allowed 16 young people to gain a construction related qualification. The grant was made possible through UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF) from the UK Government.
