Assisted Collections

Assisted collections are available for residents who have difficulty presenting their bins for collection. With this additional service, the refuse team will retrieve your bin and return it once emptied.

The bin needs to be accessible to the team for this service. Call 0115 917 7777 to register for an assisted collection.

Clinical Waste Collections

Also known as healthcare waste, clinical waste refers to waste produced by healthcare activities which are considered infectious such as sharps/needles.

If you require a clinical collection, your healthcare professional will need to contact Nottinghamshire County Council to request this. They will decide whether it is infectious or non-infectious waste and the appropriate disposal method.

Broxtowe Borough Council do not collect clinical waste from businesses.

Textile Collections

The Council no longer offers kerbside textiles collections. There are several clothing donation banks across the Borough which accept undamaged clothing and textiles. Check the Local Recycling Sites page  to find your nearest site.
