Adoption of the Toton and Chetwynd Barracks Strategic Masterplan SPD.

The Toton and Chetwynd Barracks Strategic Masterplan SPD was adopted by Broxtowe Borough Council’s Cabinet(Opens in New Window) (Opens in a New Window) at its meeting on 7th February 2023. The Borough Council has prepared an Adoption Statement(.pdf)(146KB)(Opens in New Window) (Opens in a New Window). The final Supplementary Planning Document and Consultation Statement can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the links below.

The adopted Supplementary Planning Document is now a material consideration in the determination of relevant planning applications.

As noted within the Council’s Adoption Statement(.pdf)(146KB)(Opens in New Window)  (Opens in a New Window), any person with sufficient interest in the decision to adopt the Supplementary Planning Document may apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of that decision. Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the date on which the Supplementary Planning Document was adopted.

Following the publication of the Integrated Rail Plan in November, Broxtowe Borough Council published an Update(.pdf)(182KB)(Opens in New Window) (Opens in New Window) in relation to the consultation of the Toton and Chetwynd Barracks Strategic Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

The Toton and Chetwynd Barracks Strategic Masterplan SPD was published, alongside a Consultation Statement (as required by the legislation), for public consultation between 1 November 2021 and 14 January 2022 (to comply with Regulations 12 and 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. The public consultation period was extended as the government’s Integrated Rail Plan (IRP) was published during this time (on 18 November 2021).
