Reduction of Carbon in New Development SPD
Broxtowe Borough Council and Nottingham City Council have worked jointly on a Reduction of Carbon in New Development Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
The document has been produced in conjunction with Bioregional and Edgars who are specialists in providing advice and support in relation to sustainability and carbon.
The SPD will provide more detailed advice and guidance on policies in the adopted Local Plans.
The SPD elaborates on how new developments can meet low carbon requirements through:
- Energy and Carbon Reduction; and
- Sustainable Construction.
The Councils sought views on the contents of the SPD for six weeks, with the consultation closing on Monday 30th September. These comments are currently being considered.
