TMPP43 - Temporary Regeneration Project Manager

Maternity cover up to 1 year Salary: £41,791 - £43,743 (GRADE 12), pro-rata - 30 hours per week, (Applications from candidates seeking full-time also accepted)

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced Regeneration Projects Manager to help consolidate and deliver the remaining projects in the Stapleford Town Deal.  The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop new regeneration projects as funding emerges.   Your role will include regular contact with partners and stakeholders including local businesses and elected members.  You will be responsible for the governance of the project including the private sector driven Executive Board.  We have embarked on an exciting transformative journey and the next phase of works include a makers’ space and enterprise centre – “The Pencil Works”-  focussing on design and creativity to drive growth and employment.  

 We’re looking for an individual who has experience in:

  • Economic Development & Regeneration, preferably at a senior level,
  • Has delivering projects through to completion or thoroughly understands the project management techniques to successfully manage projects;
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills and well versed in effective communications;
  • Some understanding of the construction process;
  • Managing external funding and or external contractors;

There is a need to attend occasional evening meetings, working outside normal hours;

Will need a car or possess the ability to travel to external meetings;
