T250 - Gardener Team Leader
We are looking to recruit two Gardener Team Leaders to work as part of the borough’s Grounds Maintenance Team based at Kimberley Depot.
You will be responsible for leading and managing one of the maintenance teams. Work will involve a full range of amenity horticultural work including maintenance of Parks, Open Spaces, Highway verges, cemeteries and other landscaped areas.
We are looking for people with experience of:
- Leading and managing team of staff and using their own initiative
- Relevant horticultural and maintenance work
- Working flexibly to provide a high quality customer focused service
- Using a full range of horticultural machinery
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a relevant horticultural qualification or experience in this area of work
- Have good communication skills
- Be self-motivated and committed to improve standards
- Be committed to work outside in all weather conditions
- Have a current driving licence and ability to drive a light commercial vehicle (Class B driving licence is desirable)
- Have spraying certificate Pa1-Pa6a
- Be aware of Health and Safety issues
- Be somebody who represents our GREAT values and behaviours
