F163 Income Collection Assistant

Salary: £15,030 - £15,743.92 pro rata (FTE £24,716 - £25,890 per annum) Grade 4 22.5 hours per week

We are looking for an  Income Collection Assistant  to join our Income Collection Team. The Income Collection Team are responsible for managing over 4000 tenancies and the Income Collection Assistants provide administrative support to the team.  Working alongside the other members of the team you will assist in the collection of rent whilst providing a high level of support to customers to help them to sustain their tenancies. 

In this role, you will provide a first point of contact for customers so effective communication skills are essential together with the ability to work well in a team. 

Knowledge of Universal Credit and other welfare benefits useful, however the successful candidate will receive the relevant training to enable them to fulfil the role.

You will manage your own caseload of former tenant and garage accounts, following the procedures provided to you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Welfare benefits knowledge.
  • A great track record for providing excellent customer services.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Someone who will represent GREAT values and behaviours
  • Ability to learn quickly through training and support from colleagues.

What you need to know:

  • This is a permanent role and will be based at our Beeston office along with some home working, although travel throughout Broxtowe Borough will be required.
  • Working hours are 22.5 hours per week, working Wednesday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
  • Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview which may include a test in order to determine suitability for the role.
  • There will be a requirement to work outside of office hours on occasions.
  • Training to help you in the role will be provided
  • Travel across the Borough is essential, and mileage will be paid
