An exciting opportunity has arisen within our ICT Services Team for an Apprentice to develop a range of ICT technician skills. This job will provide on-the-job training and experience in a varied and interesting environment, you will also undertake level 3 apprenticeship training Information communications technician / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our ICT team and assist us in delivering a professional service in an ever changing and increasingly demanding environment.
You may be the person we are looking for if you

- are able to work as part of a team, assisting in the delivery of our service to set standards and deadlines.
In addition, if you are confident and knowledgeable in a range of ICT software and applications including the Microsoft Office Suite you may be the person we are looking for.
You must have GSCEs or equivalent at grades A-C/4-9, preferably with passes in English, Maths, and be IT literate. You must be competent to study and complete relevant ICT training and obtain appropriate qualifications. ICT are currently under-represented by women so we actively encourage applications from women.
Based at the Council Offices in Beeston, you will assist the ICT Department in its related Operational and Service Desk activities throughout the Council. The main duties will include first line support, computer operations, building and installing PCs along with any related software, monitoring the network and computer systems, maintenance, physical audits and associated clerical tasks.

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview which will include a test/scenario/exercise in order to determine suitability for the role. Please ensure that you read the description of the Information communications technician training because you will be asked about this at the interview.
