Neighbourhood Champions
What is a Neighbourhood Champion?
Neighbourhood Champions provide much needed support to their neighbours, local area and community. They can chat to us to highlight issues and play an active role in improving their estates.
In this role you can make a real difference to your local area. You will have access to FREE training, skills development and support. We can help you to develop your skills and build your confidence, which can be used outside of this role.
As a Neighbourhood Champion (.pdf) (295KB) (Opens in a New Window) you can choose what to take part in based on what interests you and how much time you have. Even a little time given can help to make a big difference.
Be a Good Neighbour
You will help point your neighbours in the right direction on who to contact about some of the issues they may face, including frequently asked questions.
You’ll be able to give them guidance on what to do and provide information on support available.
Examples include:
- Sharing the different ways tenants can pay their rent
- Financial Inclusion Service
- Universal Credit
- How to Report Repairs
- Where to locate the Repairs Handbook
- Finding a New Home
- Befriending Scheme
- Help new/potential tenants get to know the area
- Follow us on Social Media
