Every year the Council is required to publish its accounts so they can be independently verified and transparent to residents.

The financial statements consist of:

• the Statement of Responsibilities
• the Movement in Reserves Statement
• the Comprehensive Income and Expenditure Statement
• the Balance Sheet
• the Cash Flow Statement-
• the Housing Revenue Account
• the Collection Fund
• Group accounts
