Bramcote Hills Park Consultation

How many people took part?
1021 residents got involved.
Highlights
The results showed that:
-
67% of respondents use the play area and 73% of respondents would use it if it was improved.
-
There was strong support for equipment serving a mixture of ages within the fenced area and dynamic items outside the fenced area.
-
80% of respondents thought additional seating and picnic tables were needed.
Next steps
This consultation helped to secure an additional £99,840 grant from the FCC Communities Foundation to support refurbishment of the park. You can read more about this on our website.
The design for the play area in Bramcote Hills Park has been tailored to meet the preferences that residents shared in the consultation.
Key features will include a zip line, traditional style climbing frames, traditional and group swings, a climbing net and a dedicated toddler unit. Traditional units have been selected rather than modern units as respondents showed a preference for this.
Additionally, bark chips were unpopular with residents, so the majority of the bark pit will be converted to rubber.
As there was significant support for additional seating and picnic tables, these will also be added.
To maintain a sustainable approach, some items will be retained and refurbished.
