Blue Badge Scheme
The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking concessions for people with severe mobility problems.
Blue Badges allow vehicles carrying people with certain disabilities to be parked near shops, stations and other facilities. This service is provided by Nottinghamshire County Council. Please visit the Blue Badge Scheme offsite link.
The South Nottinghamshire Handyperson Service is a joint venture developed in partnership with Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe Borough Councils, as well as Spirita Ltd and Nottinghamshire County Council.
The 'Don't Do It Yourself' scheme is designed to help older and disabled residents get jobs done without risking their health and safety.
The Service uses approved tradesmen who are available at subsidised rates to help elderly and disabled householders with minor jobs like changing light bulbs, repairing fences, changing locks, putting up curtains and moving furniture.
